Project brief.

Aqsit is India’s 1st online interior design material library and marketplace. They are a one-stop solution for all interior design material needs starting from — laminates, veneers, wallcoverings, flooring, countertops, tiles, glass & mirrors, fabrics and more. Brands and manufacturers can also register to partner with the platform and sell their materials. Currently, Aqsit is running successfully in major cities and has over 2000 materials, 10+ categories and 15+ brands on the platform and growing rapidly.

Challenges & Solutions

Design and material curation:

A feature where the users mix and match different materials and design for ideas and inspiration. This would work as a swipe file for designers that can even be shared with the community on the platform.

Analytics and management dashboard:

Dashboard with management and data analytics functionalities for brands to manage their materials easily.

Scalability:

Initially, the platform was to be launched in a few cities with limited brands and materials. However, gradually a very large number of brands were expected to be added with country-wide users. So the platform architecture was to be made scalable to handle the high requests when arises.
